Things have been busy here at TAJN headquarters and I apologize for falling way behind on publishing schedule. As we shift back to what constitutes as normal around here, expect some great news updates, reviews, and other fun features for the month of October. I’m also going to be playing around some more with the format of things, but in the meantime, let’s get caught up on this month’s movie releases.
I have yet to see “Where the Wild Things Are” or the Coens’ “A Serious Man,” but “Zombieland” and “The Invention of Lying” were a real blast. Out now in limited release that may be of interest are “An Education,” “Bronson,” and “Black Dynamite.” The controversial “Antichrist” hits theaters in Los Angeles and New York next weekend, followed by Michael Jackson’s concert rehearsal footage in “This Is It” and the slow-burn horror flick “The House of the Devil,” among others. For the younger set, next week’s “Cirque du Freak” looks like a heck of a lot of fun. There are also plenty of wonderful films being screened in revival houses this month, so keep an eye on your local cinema. Here’s what’s coming (and already out) for the month of October.
